What is Sharon Mutual Aid?

Sharon Mutual Aid is a collective of people from Sharon and its surrounding towns looking to support our community during these difficult times. There is no leader of this mutual aid network nor is Sharon Mutual Aid associated with any one non-profit, community group, or government entity. We are simply neighbors looking to maximize the amount of good we can do and to build community in Sharon and beyond.

We are not a non-profit or charity and we do not have 501c3 status - any donations made to any individuals associated with Sharon Mutual Aid are not tax deductible but will be redistributed directly to individuals in need.

What Can I Expect to Find Here?

For those seeking resources and community care:

  • Information regarding local food distribution sites, including any restrictions or requirements

  • State-level resources and individuals who will help you navigate the systems and paperwork required to access services

  • Community connection opportunities such as meal deliveries, grocery pick up, childcare, etc.

  • No judgement from anyone, at any time

For those seeking to share resources and time:

  • Concrete ways to get to know fellow community members and use your time and talent to make a real difference

  • Volunteer opportunities and information on best practices and needs from local institutions

  • Opportunities to provide direct community connection and provide support and resources

  • Resources to provide support and care for you, too!

Mutual aid is not about dividing people into those that have something to offer others and those who are seeking resources; we all have something we need and we all have something to give.

No matter your past, current, or future situation, we are all in this together with the common goal of community connection and care, today and every day.
